A massive MAGA cover-up threatens to bury the reality of January 6, 2021.  Guilt-ridden forces behind that shameful day paint it as a “peaceful” protest.  Or they hold Republicans captive to the lie that any violence was done by the likes of Antifa.  (Would leftists fight to keep Trump in office?  Really?)  Outside this cultish disinformation bubble, the reality is clear.  The attack at the U.S. Capitol was only made possible by manufactured falsehoods, rooted in dehumanization of opponents and blind devotion to a leader. 

Conservatives—a label this website identifies with—have been strangely vulnerable to this crude propaganda, much of which has been spoon-fed by the Kremlin.  Russian web brigades invade comments sections and social media outlets to manipulate American politics.  Two months shy of the 2024 election, the Kremlin was caught funneling at least $10 million to pro-Trump influencers.  Putin has spent years targeting Americans with ideological warfare—often with troll farms invading the internet—to weaken our nation through a bombardment of false information. 

It's gotten so bad that traditional Republicans are deceived into believing Ukraine is the bad guy, and Putin, that brutal old KGB agent, is a friend.  Republicans have become so desensitized by Russian “big lies” that they have no problem with J.D. Vance, who says he doesn't care whether Ukraine lives or dies. 

Truth is the most potent antidote to lies.  And these lies are not inconsequential.  They are threats to a free world.
